The Lighthouse Cove will kick off Coastal Cuisine Restaurant Week with culinary creations by Personal Chef, Sommelier and Guitarist, Paul Cullen (former bassist for ‘Bad Company’), and nationally recognized James Beard Award Winning Chef Jeff Michaud. The pair will be serving up a night of Italian cuisine, wine and music. The event will be at The Lighthouse Cove in Dewey Beach on June 4, 2017 at 5:00 p.m.
Attendees will enjoy a five course traditional Italian meal with region-specific wine pairings selected by Cullen and Michaud. “Rockin’ The Cucina” will begin with a social hour including an antipasti station in the Cove sitting right on the Rehoboth Bay in Dewey Beach, Delaware.
The duo will host cooking demonstrations including an Appetizer, Salad dish and a traditional Italian entrée crafted by Paul and Michaud. The courses will conclude with cookies from Frank & Louie’s Italian Specialties in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Guests will sit back and relax while former Bad Company bassist, Paul Cullen, performs intimate acoustic guitar sets in between courses.

The 7th Annual Delaware KIDS Fund 5K is almost here! Help fight childhood hunger by supporting our Delaware KIDS in NEED this summer, a time when they need it most. Since it started, the race has raised $60,000 to help children throughout Delaware. This year there will be two Races; the ‘7th Annual Delaware KIDS Fund 5K’ race will take place in Newport, DE on August 6th and the ‘Inaugural Que Pasa 5K’ race will happen at Que Pasa Restaurant in Dewey Beach, DE on August 13th.
Did you know that 1 in 5 children in Delaware face hunger? According to Ryan Kennedy, the Community Outreach and Business Developer coordinator for the Delaware KIDS Fund, the issue is worse in the summer which is why the run is held in August to raise awareness.
Delaware KIDS Fund is an acronym for ‘Kids in Distressed Situations’ helps at-risk children in Delaware who may face violence, abuse, family financial troubles, or other distressing situations. It is a non-profit organization founded by Thomas J. Hanna, VP of Harvey Hanna & Associates, a commercial real estate company. Proceeds from the event are donated directly to various youth emergency food relief programs throughout Delaware.

The HHA and The Delaware KIDS Fund team was extremely proud to be presented the ‘Community Service Award’ at the Delaware Business Times Family Owned Business Awards ceremony held on June 23, 2016. The Delaware KIDS fund, a nonprofit organization inspired by Thomas J. Hanna in 2008, seeks to provide goods, services and funds to distressed and at-risk children throughout the state of Delaware.
The program is designed to provide essential services to local kids in need by offering financial support for essential needs, clothing, shelter, food, counseling and mentoring for abused, grief stricken or disease-afflicted children. One in five local children today in Delaware struggle to receive a consistent and nutritious meal. The Delaware KIDS Fund and HHA have consistently led a community-wide initiative.
