HHA Welcomes American Driver Training Academy to Delaware River Industrial Park

 

Harvey, Hanna & Associates, Inc. (HHA) is pleased to welcome American Training Driver Academy to the Delaware River Industrial Park in New Castle.

American Driver Training Academy recently celebrated the opening of their new facility by hosting an open house and ribbon cutting celebration on Friday, February 24th with the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce. Local businesses, clients and vendors attended the event which also featured truck demonstrations, door prizes, giveaways, food and refreshments.

“We are excited to welcome American Driver Training Academy to the Delaware River Industrial Park. Their business concept is an ideal fit with its immediate proximity to the Port of Wilmington, Delaware Memorial Bridge and access to the full interstate interchanges of I-95, I-295 and I-495,”said Thomas J. American Driver Training Academy recently opened the new training facility by leasing 4,685 sf of office and 1.5 acres of training space at 618 Lambson Lane located at the Delaware River Industrial Park (DRIP) managed by HHA in New Castle, Delaware.

The Delaware KIDS Fund and Harvey, Hanna & Associates Family invites you to help fight childhood hunger in Delaware. Half of Delaware’s food insecure population is children. Lighthouse Cove Entering Next Phase of Redevelopment

October 7th, marked the groundbreaking for the next phase of the multi-use Lighthouse Cove Dewey Beach.

The Lighthouse Cove Development Company (LCDC) recently announced that the next phase of development of the multi-use Lighthouse Cove Resort project to commence this month, adding 27 additional bayside luxury condominium units, known as The Residences at Lighthouse Cove, expanded parking garage, a sunset Gazebo on the expanded Van Dyke public bayside beach and rooftop pool.

The Lighthouse Cove, situated on the bay side in Dewey Beach, is just one block from the Atlantic Ocean and offers beautiful views of Rehoboth Bay. As recently as 2006, the site was slated to become a gated, closed townhome community that would have forever precluded public access to Rehoboth Bay.   At that time, the Town of Dewey Beach invited our company, Dewey Beach Enterprises/Lighthouse Cove Development Company, to consider alternatives, including a mixed-use commercial-and-residential resort project that would concurrently incorporate amenities the Town had sought for decades and would align with the Town’s comprehensive plan.

Sign Up for the 7th Annual Delaware KIDS Fund 5K Run/Walk Today!

The 7th Annual Delaware KIDS Fund 5K is almost here! Help fight childhood hunger by supporting our Delaware KIDS in NEED this summer, a time when they need it most. Since it started, the race has raised $60,000 to help children throughout Delaware. This year there will be two Races; the ‘7th Annual Delaware KIDS Fund 5K’ race will take place in Newport, DE on August 6th and the ‘Inaugural Que Pasa 5K’ race will happen at Que Pasa Restaurant in Dewey Beach, DE  on August 13th.

Did you know that 1 in 5 children in Delaware face hunger? According to Ryan Kennedy, the Community Outreach and Business Developer coordinator for the Delaware KIDS Fund, the issue is worse in the summer which is why the run is held in August to raise awareness.

Delaware KIDS Fund is an acronym for ‘Kids in Distressed Situations’ helps at-risk children in Delaware who may face violence, abuse, family financial troubles, or other distressing situations. It is a non-profit organization founded by Thomas J. Hanna, VP of Harvey Hanna & Associates, a commercial real estate company. Proceeds from the event are donated directly to various youth emergency food relief programs throughout Delaware.
