Harvey Hanna & Associates President to Lead Newly Created Foundation Advancing Research-Driven Economic Solutions for Delaware
Newport, Delaware – Harvey Hanna & Associates (HHA) is proud to announce that its President, John C. Fannin III, has been appointed inaugural Chair of the Delaware State Chamber Foundation, the newly created 501(c)(3) affiliate of the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce focused on nonpartisan research, programs, and initiatives that advance Delaware’s economic climate and long-term prosperity.
The Delaware State Chamber of Commerce announced the creation of the Foundation in September 2025 and formally announced Fannin’s appointment as its first Chair at its Annual Dinner held on January 12, 2026, one of the state’s most prominent convenings of business, civic, and government leaders.
The Delaware State Chamber Foundation has been strategically positioned to serve as a central platform for data-driven analysis, collaborative problem-solving, and forward-looking policy development on issues critical to Delaware’s competitiveness. These include workforce development, health care, regulatory environment, and the overall cost of doing business in the First State.
“I am honored to serve as the inaugural Chair of the Delaware State Chamber Foundation at this important moment,” said John C. Fannin III, President of Harvey Hanna & Associates. “The Foundation’s strategically focused mission reflects a clear need for credible research and thoughtful collaboration to address the challenges facing Delaware’s employers and workforce. I look forward to working with the Board of Trustees, the State Chamber, and stakeholders across the state to help translate insight into action.”
As inaugural Chair, Fannin will lead the Foundation’s Board of Trustees and help set strategic priorities that strengthen Delaware’s economic foundation, promote sustainable growth, and improve the quality of life for Delawareans.
E. Thomas Harvey III, Chairman and CEO of Harvey Hanna & Associates, praised the appointment as both a professional milestone for Fannin and a meaningful contribution to the state’s business community.
“John’s appointment as Chair of the Delaware State Chamber Foundation is a testament to his leadership, judgment, and long-standing commitment to Delaware’s economic future,” Harvey said. “At HHA, we believe strongly in the role the private sector can play in shaping thoughtful, research-based solutions. This Foundation will be an important force in that work, and John is exceptionally well-suited to help lead it.”
Michael J. Quaranta, President of the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce, emphasized the importance of the Foundation’s launch and Fannin’s role in guiding its next chapter.
“John’s incredible career includes, among many other things, leading boards and driving strategic initiatives that align with a larger mission,” Quaranta said. “We are grateful to have someone of his caliber serve as our first chair of this distinguished board.”
