Ryan Kennedy offers 18 years of regional marketing, advertising and public relations management experience with his role at Harvey, Hanna & Associates. In his position as Vice President of Marketing, Ryan manages all marketing and advertising initiatives for HHA and its business entities. Ryan’s responsibilities include but are not limited to, marketing, sales, public relations, tenant, client and media relations, social media and website management and managing the company’s corporate philanthropy initiatives.
Ryan spent the beginning of his marketing career in the radio industry, working at regional and local radio stations including WMMR in Philadelphia, WGMD in Rehoboth Beach and Clear Channel Radio Delaware, serving as Director of Marketing and Promotions for its five radio station media group (WDSD-FM, WILM-AM, WRDX–FM, WWTX-AM).
In 2009, Ryan joined Harvey, Hanna & Associates, Inc. as Director of Marketing.
Ryan is an active member of the Public Relations Society of Delaware, Delaware Press Association, New Castle County Chamber of Commerce, Delaware State Chamber of Commerce, Delaware Greenways and the Delmarva Irish Society. He also serves on the Board of Directors for CIRC (Commercial Industrial Realty Council), Committee of 100, Theatre N as well as the Executive Director for HHA’s in-house charitable organization, The Delaware KIDS Fund. Ryan is also a licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the State of Delaware. Ryan grew up in a military family and moved around frequently as a kid but considers himself a native of Delaware.
In 2014, Ryan won a 1st Place award in the 2014 Delaware Press Association Communications Contest for his “Lighthouse Cove Redevelopment” entry in the Media Kit category and also won a national 2nd place award in the National Press Federation Communications Contest. In November 2014, Ryan won a GOLD MarCom Award for the Lighthouse Cove Redevelopment Press Kit in the Media Kit/Product Launch category. MarCom is an international creative competition that recognizes outstanding achievement by marketing and communications professionals. Ryan also earned two 1st Place Awards in the 2017 Delaware Press Association Communications Contest. Since 2014, Ryan has earned six Delaware Press Association Awards.
In 2017, Ryan was named to the Delaware Business Times 40 Under 40 List. Each year, Delaware Business Times recognizes Delaware achievers and innovators under the age of 40, who are advancing in their workplace and engaging their communities. Click here to see the list.
Ryan currently lives in Wilmington with his wife Lizette and two sons Luke and Gavin.
